In this role, Cleophus will lead the organization's strategic vision, fundraising, partnerships, and program growth while advancing RBL's mission to cultivate the critical thinking, communication, and self-reflection skills needed for successful reentry and lifelong transformation of participants. A seasoned nonprofit executive and community leader, Cleophus brings more than two decades of experience in organizational leadership, strategic planning, fundraising, community development, and cross-sector partnership building. Throughout his career, he has secured millions of dollars in public and private funding, developed innovative community-based initiatives that created lasting social impact. Cleophus believes that every person possesses inherent dignity and the capacity for growth. He is passionate about creating opportunities for individuals to discover their voice, expand their perspective, and build brighter futures. In the past year she has transitioned to become RBL’s Operations Manager. She has previously worked for political based organizations like The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform and CHANGE Illinois. Nelly has also worked for a community lending organization Allies for Community Business where she assisted located entrepreneurs obtain grants and loans for their businesses, allowing them to be successful during hard times. Since then, he has been involved in restorative justice efforts, aiming to support those impacted by the justice system and advocating for criminal justice reform. Edmund has held positions such as Reentry Case Manager and Associate Content Manager at Edovo. Prior to that, he worked as a Personal Assistant for people with disabilities at the Illinois Department of Human Services.
